Empowering Education, Championing Affordability—For a Stronger Joliet Junior College
Join me in this journey to make Joliet Junior College a beacon of affordable, innovative, and student-centered education. Together, we can empower the next generation and build a stronger future for all.
As a dedicated higher education instructor, I have spent my career focused on creating meaningful learning experiences that transform lives. With a PhD in Education Technology and as a proud member of the IEA Higher Education Council, I have seen firsthand the power of education to open doors and create opportunities.
However, I also understand the challenges that come with pursuing higher education, especially when it comes to affordability. I am running for a seat on the Joliet Junior College Board of Trustees. I am committed to ensuring every student can access the high-quality, affordable education they deserve.
My Vision for Joliet Junior College:
Affordability: I believe that financial barriers should not stand in the way of a student's educational goals. I will work tirelessly to advocate for policies that keep tuition and fees manageable while expanding scholarship opportunities and financial aid resources.
Innovation in Education: With my background in education technology, I am passionate about bringing innovative learning solutions to Joliet Junior College. I will push to adopt cutting-edge educational tools and techniques that enhance the learning experience and prepare our students for the jobs of tomorrow.
Student-Centered Policies: Students are at the heart of Joliet Junior College. I will prioritize policies that support student success, from increasing technology access to expanded mental health resources. Every decision I make will be aimed at helping our students thrive.
Community Engagement: Joliet Junior College is a vital part of our community. I am committed to strengthening the relationship between the college and the community it serves. I will work to create partnerships that benefit both our students and our local economy.
